Religion
Religion in Otreia is a polytheistic religion which has six Himiniguðir who reside on Mount Himinioðurr. Many things in the Lands of Otreia are based on the six deities, including the calendar system.
Himiniguðir
Sairrav, the God of the Sun, Joy and Medicine, is an exotic beauty, with pale skin, short, curly auburn hair, and eyes the color of shining silver. He is tall and very slender, and is usually laughing. He usually wears stylized armor dyed blue-black and dark green. He is also associated with good and justice. He is often worshiped by the poor. His surprisingly few followers can be primarily distinguished by the magic they wield. There are more than a few shrines to him in military outposts. He is known to give aid to mortal leaders.
Virius, the God of Mercenaries, Fire and Arrogance, is surprisingly plain, with ebony skin, long, straight black hair, and eyes the color of a wild wolf's. He is very short and slightly plump, and often seems angry. He usually wears a tattered cloak dyed dark gold and beige. He is also associated with rain, wishes and famine. He is often worshiped by village folk. His large numbers of followers can be primarily distinguished by the shrines in their homes. There are a small number of statues of him in most cities. He is known to give help to great mortal warriors.
Orea, the Goddess of Peace, Nature, Wind and Water, is blindingly beautiful, with sallow skin, short, rippling dark golden hair, and eyes the color of spring greenery. She is tall and very slender, and rarely laughs. She usually wears light armor dyed violet. She is also associated with travel. She is often worshiped by city dwellers. Her surprisingly numerous followers can be primarily distinguished by the magic they wield. There are a large number of altars dedicated to her in large cities. She is known to send dreams to mortals in dire need.
Thaet, the Goddess of Tricksters, Time and Secrets, is somewhat plain, with ebony skin, long, swirling bright red hair, and eyes the color of deep pools. She is medium height and solidly built, and rarely laughs. She usually wears chain mail dyed burnt orange. She is also associated with madness and life. She is often worshiped by magic-users. Her many followers can be primarily distinguished by their daily prayers. There are a respectable amount of offerings to her in large cities. She is known to send visions to virtuous mortals.
Maylra, the Goddess of Charisma, Mountains and Courtship, is unusually beautiful, with very pale skin, shoulder length, wavy medium brown hair, and eyes the color of tree bark. She is surprisingly short and solidly built, and looks rather smug. She usually wears little clothing, dyed bronze and pale gold. She is also associated with law and gambling. She is often worshiped by men. Her numerous followers can be primarily distinguished by the symbols they wear. There are more than a few temples to her at crossroads. She is known to give aid to epic mortal heroes.
Gavnir, the God of Assassins, is shockingly beautiful, with sallow skin, long, swirling dark red hair, and eyes the color of dark rubies. He is medium height and very muscular, and generally appears mischeivious. He usually wears opulent robes dyed dark bronze and bright green. He is also associated with desire, fate and sleep. He is often worshiped by men. His large numbers of followers can be primarily distinguished by the weapons they bear. There are a large number of carvings of him in forests. He is known to help mortal magic-users.

However, the main 6 are not the only people worshipped. There are countless heroes, titans, deities and more that people worship for different reasons. Some of the more popular are:
Skóglend, the God of Agriculture, Hunting, Fertility and Harvest is very good-looking, with tanned skin, shoulder length, rippling light grey hair, and eyes the color of shimmering crystals. He is average height and broad-shouldered, commonly seen with a malicious grimace. He usually wears armor dyed dark gold and bright green. Skóglend is the overseer of the Stórskoglendi, a great forest spanning three provinces in Eótenēþel. Many people pray to him for continued growth and prosperity in the forest, as it provides 99% of the lumber in the world.
