Days of the Week

| Oredæg | Tuesday |
| Thadæg | Thursday |
| Maydæg | Friday |
| Gavdæg | Saturday |
The days are similar to the Gregorian calendar, with the middle of the week being omitted. However, due to Otreian days being 28 hours long, both weeks equal out to the same amount of time.
Months
A year in Otreian time is split into two halves: the winter months -- which are cooler and typically see less sun in the day, and the summer months -- which are warmer and have the maximum amount of daylight and almost no night time. Each half has exactly six months which makes the entire year 12 months long, similar to the Gregorian calendar.
| Group Name | Description |
|---|---|
| Skammdegi | Winter Season |
| Náttleysi | Summer Season |
| Otreian Months | Description |
|---|---|
| Saimånad | First Month |
| Virmånad | Second Month |
| Oremånad | Third Month |
| Thamånad | Fourth Month |
| Maymånad | Fifth Month |
| Gavmånad | Sixth Month |
The naming convention of the months is the grouping name followed by the month name. So for the third month of the winter season, this would look like: Skammdegi Oremånad.
Due to the long names of the month combinations, the months are commonly abbreviated. The abbreviations are the first two letters of the grouping and the first three letters of the month name, so Skammdegi Oremånad becomes SkOre and Náttleysi Virmånad would be NáVir.
